Wearables and Nearables Technology Laboratory-Student Presentation Examples

The Wearables and Nearables Technology Laboratory class converted into an online format after the COVID 19 pandemic and students quickly adapted to these changes. The video shows a group presentation in the form of  a commercial for a wristband fitness tracker that students built during Lab 1 of the class.

Students in the class get more creative in their presentation styles as the semester goes by. This video shows a Halloween edition group presentation of a smart shoe insole that tracks the user’s gait, step counts, and direction of motion.

Final Project Website

Some students went above and beyond and would showcase the many wearable devices they created throughout the semester on a website. The presentation of the website gives the impression that the group is marketing their devices as a wearable device company. Please click on this link to see a website created by one of the groups!

The video shows a group presentation in the form of  a commercial for a wearable that sends “heartfelt memos”, tracks your heart rate, and has a built in fall detection function.  This project was part of the final project for the Wearables and Nearables Technology Laboratory class.
